Taragui Citrus fruits
€5,95
Unit price perMore citrus means more flavour complexity. Taragui Cítricos del Litoral combines orange, mandarin and grapefruit in one harmonious blend, creating a refreshing taste that balances fruity freshness with authentic Argentine earthy notes. This is yerba mate for those who want their flavouring to have layers and depth.
What does Taragui Citricos taste like?
Taragui Citricos tastes of dried yerba mate leaves enriched with the aromas of three citrus fruits at once. Orange, mandarin and grapefruit work together to create a refreshing, harmonious flavour profile that is both complex and balanced. The triple citrus blend combines lively freshness with the earthy, traditional mate base, delivering something that feels refined without being overly perfumed. It is citrus that enhances what makes Taragui special, rather than masking it.
About the manufacturer
Taragui Cítricos is part of Las Marías' “Flavours of the World” series, which blends yerba from different regions of Argentina and from different harvest periods for maximum complexity. The natural citrus flavourings (no artificial additives) are combined with air-dried leaves verified as PAH-free by the Eurofins laboratory in Germany. These certifications and more than 85 years of family expertise ensure consistent quality in every sip.
How do you drink Taragui Citricos?
Prepare Cítricos using the standard mate method: fill your gourd three-quarters full with the blend, tilt it and add lukewarm water, then hot water at 70-80°C. This variety is absolutely ideal for tereré (cold mate) on hot summer days; the citrus flavours really come into their own when you serve it ice-cold with cold water or even fresh juice. Refill several times, hot or cold, and count on the bright citrus character lasting throughout your entire mate session.
