About Chimarrão
Chimarrão is the Brazilian variety of Yerba Mate. The big difference from Argentine or Uruguayan Yerba Mate is that Chimarrão is ground very finely, making it almost a kind of powder. This gives it a creamier and somewhat grassier flavour, in contrast to the smoky taste of 'regular' Yerba Mate.
Because of its powdery texture, we recommend drinking Chimarrão through a bombilla with an extra-fine filter.
